Oral Health
The federal government has provided information about the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
The dental programs administered through the Health Unit are provincial. We are waiting for more details from the province as to how the Canadian Dental Care Plan might affect existing provincial programs, such as the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program (OSDCP) and Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO) program.
Provincial program eligibility has not changed, and people can continue to apply to and use existing programs.
We will provide updates as we receive more information.
Good oral health is important to a child’s overall health. The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit offers oral health information, programs, and services to promote early dental care that helps support good oral health for a lifetime.
Oral Health staff can provide preventive services to eligible children and teens ages 17 years and under at our Oral Health Clinics in Leeds, Grenville and Lanark Counties.
For more information on Oral Health Clinics, please review our Preventive Dental Services page.
