Healthy Environments

The Health Unit provides advice for homeowners, landlords and tenants about different hazards that can occur inside or outside of your home including:

• personal protection from ticks and mosquitoes
• what to do if you have indoor air quality problems
• what to do if you have a pest infestation
• information about lead
• information about radon
• information about dangerous weeds
• how to keep safe during an extreme heat or cold event

Although the Health Unit may not have the legislative authority to force a problem to be fixed we work towards helping you achieve a resolution.
