Infant Feeding Clinic

Masking is no longer mandatory in our clinic spaces, however keeping our clients and families safe is very important to us. If you or your baby are feeling unwell at the time of your appointment, please call us at 1-800-660-5853 extension 2467 to reschedule your appointment. Please follow Provincial Guidance on isolation recommendations if you are feeling unwell.

Our Infant Feeding Clinics are accessible to residents of Leeds, Grenville, and Lanark County only at this time. If you live outside of these boundaries, please contact your local Health Unit for access to services and supports.

If you have questions about feeding your baby you can visit our Infant Feeding clinics. It is a good idea to get support early on, even if your baby is feeding well. Getting support early on can help you gain the confidence to know that baby is healthy and growing.

During your visit to the clinic, a Registered Nurse will:

  • Provide prenatal breastfeeding education before baby arrives **Please note that at this time, we are asking that prenatal families access our Prenatal Breastfeeding Information Sessions (offered in-person and virtually) prior to making a clinic appointment. Many of the questions or concerns you may have will be addressed at these sessions. For more information visit the Prenatal Education section of our website.
  • Provide one-on-one support to help you feed your baby
  • Guide you to learn your baby’s feeding cues so that you know when your baby is hungry or full
  • Teach you the signs to know that your baby is feeding well
  • Give you tips to help you with common breastfeeding challenges
  • Give you the chance to ask questions you may have about feeding your baby

If you have questions about your baby’s nutrition, growth milestones, or introduction to solid foods, please contact 1-800-660-5853 extension 2467 to speak with a Public Health Nurse or Registered Dietician.

If you require support sooner than an appointment is available, please call 1-800-660-5853 extension 2467 to speak to a Public Health Nurse. We will make efforts to ensure you are seen in as timely a manner as possible.

When booking an appointment online, please ensure you receive a confirmation email to ensure your booking has been secured.
