Local School COVID-19 Outbreak Surveillance
Parents, students and staff have an understandable interest in knowing when a COVID-19 positive case has been identified in their school. This page will provide information on COVID-19 outbreaks* for information about cases in local school, visit the Government of Ontario site on COVID-19 cases in schools and child care centres.
*An outbreak in a school is defined as two or more lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in students and/or staff in a school with an epidemiological link (for example, that they likely passed the virus from one to the other at school), within a 14-day period, where at least one case could have reasonably acquired their infection in the school (including transportation and before or after school care).
Latest Update: (December 22, 2020) – Outbreaks are reported Monday to Friday from data collected at 4:00pm from yesterday. Please note that there may be a case in a school that does not lead to an outbreak so these would not be included as an outbreak.
