Diseases of Public Health Significance (DOPHS) Surveillance Dashboard
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit’s Diseases of Public Health Significance (DOPHs) surveillance dashboard provides data on local rates of DOPHS, based on information available from provincial data sources. Ensuring timely access to local DOPHS data will help support ongoing surveillance, improve knowledge exchange, heighten awareness, and support evidence informed decision making related to infectious disease.
Population health assessment and surveillance is an identified priority for the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit, as well as a requirement of the Ontario Public Health Standards. Sharing local case rates with a publicly accessible dashboard contributes to the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit’s priority of enhancing knowledge exchange of population health surveillance data.
The DOPHs dashboard is provided for the information of local health care providers and other community partners. All information provided in the DOPHs dashboard should be considered in the context of limitations in data collection, data cleaning, and reporting delays. The data presented are preliminary and subject to change due to the regular updates in case identification and confirmation, or the ongoing efforts to improve data quality. This report represents the most current case counts in our health unit region.
