Public Pools
Public pools are regulated in Ontario to ensure proper treatment of water to reduce the transmission of disease, and to prevent injury. They are divided into two categories Class A and Class B. Class A pools typically have lifeguards on duty, whereas Class B pools are typically unsupervised. We encourage all parents to supervise their children around any pool. Our local pools are inspected regularly during the pools operational season, for more information about a specific inspection please visit INSIGHT.
